it was just suggested to me to explore led highhat lighting as an option to installing 6- 4" high hat lights (40w bulbs) in the living room.( lamps will be used for reading lights at each where there is seating, but high hats for general lighting.)
i am interested in the led option for the low wattage and coolness.
can 6 lights be put on one 15a switch (or two) ? what watt sizes are available ? i am having trouble finding anything larger than .5watts and that doesn't sound effective for room lighting
is a 'driver' required ? what is it's purpose ? how is it installed so that it is accessible ? (in the hole next to a light ??)

we need the main components as below:
1.leds (multi chips) 20 -25watts,input voltage and current need to know.
2.driver.input voltage is 110v or 230v,out put voltage is depend on leds.
3.heatsink,do you know the cpu of the computer(not laptop),there is a heatsink on it, and the power of the cpu is about 25watt,the heatsink is good enough for the led lamp.and there is a fan on the back of heatsink.
it's about $6 in china market..
4.if it is possible,we need another dirver for the fan on the back of heatsink.it's very common in the market.
the rest is how to fix the led on the heatsink,must make sure the led and the heatsink are together tightly.the driver should be above ip65.
