How do I modify a light set control box to stay in steady mode

I have several christmas light sets with control boxes that automatically cycle through several lighting sequences.

I am plugging the sets into a big controller and want the controller to be modified so anything other than staying on without any flashing is not an option

My first thought would be to cut out the control box, tho this may be dangerous and should only be attempted if you know what you are doing. coming into contact with line current can be vary painful, if not deadly. do not try to do anythnig to it while it is plugged it.

Other than that, each box would be different and I wouldnt know what to do unless i had the box in front of me.

Sorry
